I know this is an unpopular opinion but hear me out. I feel the public chat feature should be removed because of the inappropriate things that are posted. ⛔️Trigger Warning: suicide and s.h.⛔️ Almost every time I read it, I see a discussion on suicide and self harm and this is not appropriate for the users on this site, especially since the majority are very young. I understand the purpose of the chat is to get help with bracelets but people have been abusing this power and posting sensitive topics. I do acknowledge the admin for their excellent coding skills they used to make the chat for us but, the way it is being used is not good at all. ⛔️End of Trigger Warning⛔️ Also, since swear words are not being filtered on BB, they are extremely prominent in the public chat. I have seen people ask these users who are swearing to stop but it gets out of control. Terrible arguments begin just because someone asked another user to stop swearing and this is not something that should be happening. These arguments fuel the swear word usage and it makes it worse. I know these issues do not bother everyone but for some of us, they are very troubling. You might be thinking that I should stop reading the chat so I don’t see these negative things and you are right but I like to use it to see if anyone needs help or has a question so I can provide some assistance. I think the ideal solution to this issue is either implement a swear filter (which I know has been discussed and may not happen) or remove the chat entirely. I’m sorry to the admin that you have to hear that I want your website to be changed but I think in the end it will improve the environment and remove the chance of inappropriate behavior. hi there! thank you for your concern about the chat. i agree with you that the chat has gotten really out of hand the past few days. i have sent your concern to the mod chat, so we are discussing what we think the best course of action is, as the current way we deal with inappropriate users is proving inefficient. i think that before we remove the chat entirely, we are going to try to implement other features that we hope will make the chat a safer place. but just know that we are discussing your concern, and we are dealing with the situation the best way we can under the circumstances. thanks! 🙂

I totally agree that the chat is umm starting to get extremely inappropriate and it seems every-time I look at the chat there's definitely something no kid should be reading there. I came to the thought last nice after using the chat that seriously if one person is banned they can just keep on making a new email and account so what is the point... Seriously though the chat isn't the best feature and I sincerely hope that the mods/admin will find a way to fix this issue. 🙂

also its not just suicide stuff thats going on the chat I've read some other stuff over many different times that I wish I hadn't anyways I agree with everything you have said

I really enjoy the chat 🙁 but I do agree that people have been really mean in there and it kinda makes me upset 😢

I have an idea, I think that swear word filters would still help even though people could find ways to get around it, but maybe there could be like a warning that if you swear more than 3 times or maybe 5 times, you would be banned from using the chat for a day or something.

@arf820 I saw the new blog post that there is a limitation on ranks in the chat. Thank you guys for taking action regarding this issue and I hope it decreases the inappropriate discussions we have seen.

ik they just made it so it’s advanced+, but i think it should be at least skiller, bc it’s someone who’s been in the community for at least a little longer, and advanced is really easy to get to

Why are you so salty about it in fact u might git a high rating becoze of it you don't understand the meaning of chat from your post so many people who whant to enjoy chat for what it is you just made them lose that ability and it's very rare that some one does that if you don't like then don't use it it's a very simple answer to that consern

The admins and moderators are trying to make the chat a safer place. Removing the chat would really only be our last resort because we know how much users enjoy it. Before doing something that drastic we will definitely try anything possible to make sure the chat gets safer. Our first step was making the chat only available for ranks advanced and higher. Currently there is no need to worry about the chat getting removed. 😄@jeje_mko |

I think that maybe if a beginner actually does have a reasonable question they can have a moderator accept it so they can't say bad things anymore. Just an idea 😊
