how do I make an alpha pattern out of a photo

I’ve seen and heard online people saying you can make patterns out of photos. I was just wondering how I could do this

Hey 🙂! Make sure that you are on the actual website (not the app!), save an image that you want to use, and then go to create patterns. Select the tab named alpha from image and choose your file of the picture that you want to use. You can choose the number of stings you want and how many colors you want. Here is a little tip, I always select preserve hard edges if i make a pattern from an image! Once the site generates the pattern for you, go. to draw alpha and you might have to tweak colors ( so they aren't similar or too dark) and pixel placement! |

If your looking on the app you can’t create a pattern on the app. You’ll have to go on the website. Then you hover over your profile and click “Create Patterns”. From there you click create alpha. Then click “alpha from photo”

On the site, you need to click create patterns, than you need to click on alpha, if i’m right, there is an option: ‘alpha from photo’ and there you go! make sure the colors are not very similair to each other, bc than it will be declined
