It seems to me like your guidelines for accepting pics of bracelets are being applied too strictly - I understand that the photo has to be decent quality but does it have to be picture perfect? Maybe you’d want a perfect pic if the goal was to sell stuff, but not (in my opinion) if the goal is sharing, community-building and fun?

the mods make it strict so that the picture can look nice for everyone 🙂 people might have a hard time seeing it if its too dark, bright, chaotic, blurred, etc.
but everyone has an opinion, im just sharing mine 🙂

The two main reasons for pictures to be declined is them being blurry or the resolution being too low. Both these things make you see the bracelet on the picture less well.

Imagine you had posted a pattern and you get a notification that someone posted a picture and it turns out the picture is super blurry. Wouldn't you be disappointed?

I have taken some good photos on my phone that looked good to me. Then when I submitted them to bracelet book they got declined for being too blurry. On my phone my photos looked clear but on another monitor or device or screen the photos could be seen differently same with colours when you are making a variation or pattern. My phone is a lot older and cameras have gotten better over time. So while to me my photos are not extremely blurry on another screen it might show up blurry. Therefore I have learned to only submit photos if I can see the photo clearly on both my phone and my computer.

I hear what you’re saying and that makes sense, especially about refusing pics that are super blurry or hard to pick out of a background, but I feel the moderators are also refusing pics that aren’t super bad, just maybe not high quality. Anyways, I just probably won’t submit many photos if I have to spend 10 minutes getting the lighting and focus and background perfect to take a staged photo of my bracelet on a freshly cut bed of grass or a white sheet outside at noon. A quick, but decent quality, candid snap is good enough for me! But I’m kind of old-school, I guess 😉

Yes! I 100% agree with you! Some photos are getting declined for being too blurry, too dark and/or too shadowy when in reality, they are not too bad. 🙂
