How do you tie a bracelet that starts with a beginning loop? Is there a way to tie it to make it adjustable? Also I'm talking about the type of loop where you knot over strings to make a nice clean loop, not just where you loop the strings if that makes sense.

@honeybearx a 1, 2 pattern is basically a normal pattern so to tell the difference, a normal pattern would have all of the strings come together and every other row there would be one string out on each side. A normal pattern also has forward-backward knot and backward-forward knots which you will learn later if you haven't already. An alpha pattern only had forward knots and backward knots and weaves between your base strings. An alpha pattern doesn't use forward-backward knots or backward-forward knots. Alphas are very describe patterns such as logos or names. A normal pattern and an alpha pattern will look different. I know it's a lot but I hope this helps you understand. 👍

@EWL if you click your name up in the right-hand corner, there will be a drop menu and it will say "create pattern".creating patterns an be hard especially if your not on computer, but MashaKnots is working on a pattern generator that will make .among patterns easier 👍

@maya3456 When I usually do a loop with my bracelets, I do double braided strings of double twist ties, it doesn't really matter but I prefer the twist ties but it's a little harder to control than the braids. I just tie the strings onto the loop (if that makes any sense) and it holds pretty well I haven't had any problems yet. I hope this helps 👍

Do you have any pattern suggestions to use color changing threads on?? I have a bunch of it and don’t know what pattern to use them on! 😆

@Adyssen This helps, thanks. But when you say you tie the strings do you tie the two braids onto the loop?

@maya3456 When I say that I just mean that that's how you get it to stay on your wrist. If I wasn't clear, there's tutorials that are pretty clear.

@amelia904 You could do #47419 and have the dots a separate distinct colour, #42648 and have the wave black or white or any distinct colour. You could use it for the background of #22880 or #36950 or any other pattern like that where it has a background.

@amelia904 I suggest doing the vertical wave pattern, a candy stripe or pattern #38672. These are the patterns I've used the tie-dye string (which is the same as the color shifting string) and it worked out fine

@maya3456 Awesome! Loops are my favorite way to start a bracelet and they are very easy. It's just they can be a little hard to tie sometimes. Glad I could help 👍

@amelia904 You could use color changing thread for the middle black string of #27274. The pattern is also part of the weekly challenge
