I'm sorry if this is already a forum topic, but how do you make alpha rows a straight line? Each time I do it they slant down like a candy stripe... How can I fix this?? It's frustrating

Once I have knotted my first row I used my finger nails to push them up/down to make them into a straight line or I knot against the metal clip of my clipboard that keeps them pretty straight! I've also seen a few people saying they knot against tape so I hope that helps

How would you knot against tape? I feel like the knots would slip under the tape...

It's cool, I would imagine someone on this website knows how to do it with tape... If someone could explain it, it would be super helpful (:

I almost always use tape, sometimes a clipboard, but usually tape. I make sure the strings are laid out flat like when i start tying knots and I tape it to my leg or my desk (with scotch tape) I've never had the knots slip underneath, it's pretty much the same as with a clip board. Hope this helps! Good luck 🙂

Do you do an overhand knot? Or just lay them all flat?.... Or do you tape it under the overhand knot?

You can do either but you're more likely to get uneven rows if you do an overhand. Wait till you're done you're bracelet and go back and do it.
