So I know a lot of new people always get confused on how to make patterns. I would like to help. My first suggestion would be to draw out the design. I like to use grid paper because it just makes the dot process a whole lot easier. Anyways draw it out, then start to figure out wheee you want all the knots to go and what kind of knot you will want to make. Once your finished transfer all of that to the website in the pattern generator. And submit. The reviewing process may take a day or two but the moderators will get back to you as soon as they can with good feedback. Now in case you are curious about what knots should go where, I have advice for that too. First though if you are doing an alpha don’t worry too much about the knots because the knots will all be the same. For Normals remember if you are going right do a forward knot. If you are going left do a backwards knot. If you are going right but then need to change directions and go left use a forwards backward knot and vise verse use a backward forward knot. I know this was quit a lot, and still it was really just a quick overview, so if you would like more information feel free to PM me! Please remember that this is not the only way to make a pattern, it is just the way that works best for me, and has also helped many other beginners. I hope this has helped you in some way, and have a great day!😃 |
