I have some random crochet thread but I have no idea what size it is. Could you please measure your crochet thread either in millimeters or in on inches and could you also indicate what size number it is. Thanks so much!😊

Hmm i am not sure what you mean by measure it but i use size 10 with some floss I have because it ends up being the same size. Its Aunt Lydias Crochet ThreadSize 10 and comes in many different colors. If you have any DMC Cotton Pearl Skeins (the big twisted kind that are more expensive because you get more floss) it is basically the same size as that. I hope that helps somehow 🙂

I'm also not 100% sure on what you mean, but you could lay your crochet thread down alongside your embroidery floss and see if its similar (or the same) in thickness. If it's the same, then its likely to be between sizes 5-10.

I find that size 5 works the best, as it's the closest to traditional embroidery thread.

I use size 5 and it’s pretty much the same as embroidery floss
