Ok so I have a few questions about wall hanging

1 were do you get the wood can I just use a stick
2 what knots do you do to attach the string
3 does it work with normal patterns and alpha patterns
4 were could I hang it up
5 what’s the best size for a stick for a 50x50 pattern an alp
6 resources for this trend

Thanks in advance 😊

Wall hangings are for alphas only I’m pretty sure. Any stick will work so like a skewers, toothpicks off small ones, a dowel, etc are good sticks. To do it you need to cut your base strings and then use the larks head knot to tie the strings onto the stick

The stick should be like a half inch on either side of your base strings you could hang it up in your room or like on a desk or drawer of some sort you could probably do it with a normal pattern but it wouldn’t come out the same

1. I use toothpicks for small hangings and wooden skewers for larger ones. You could definitely use a stick just try to find a straight-ish one. 2. Larks head knots 3. You could definitely do a normal pattern but your method of tying on would have to be altered or your string set up changed. 4. Wherever you want! I have mine on the wall but they would look good on a cork board or as an ornament. 5. I used a long toothpick for my bird at 45 strings wide and there was still a little room - it’s about the size of the palm of my hand so I would recommend probably 2-3 inches long. 6. I’ve done a speed knot and a knotting dangerously with wall hangings but otherwise there’s tons of inspo on insta!

1 I got my wood from joanns because they have precut sticks I’m sure any craft store would have wooden dowels 2 larks head knots 3 I have never seen someone do a normal pattern but I feel like it would work fine 4 anywhere on your wall if your in school or go back to school in you locker if you have one 5 I would suggest use a bigger one then you think you need because I have noticed that I usually underestimate and it’s better to overestimate and be able to cut if later 6 search on YouTube wall hanging friendship bracelets and some videos should pop up also look at Instagram or Pinterest
