To answer your question, I memorize patterns with repetition just over and over again and with skiller, I don’t remember any crazy advantages

It takes to memorize tho I’m usually using patterns. I think the most advantages are from beginning to advanced but maybe ask a moderator?

i can only for sure answer number 1. practice segment knotting because it allows you to make certain sections of the bracelet at once and it makes it easier to memorize the pattern. that way you don’t have to keep referring to the pattern. also, do one cycle of the pattern with the pattern grid in front of you. on the second cycle try to do it memorized. if you forget what you do next, refer to what you have knotted so far or look at the pattern grid. hope that helps! 🙂

You just kinda get little privileges apparently. Nothing really noticeable, but I heard you can send more messages per day and such

It’s mostly bragging rights to show who’s active, I think

a lot of my pattern memorization is just me prioritizng the total design over remembering every single knottake for example #24752 , it's design can be split (in my mind) in three "layers" the first layer is that this pattern has diagonal stripes going from the upper left to lower right (kind of like a candy stripe), the threads following the basic diagonal lines are forward knots. however since the colours need to return to the left side for the next time that colour repeats their next stripe, this could be done by making the last knots on row 1 and 3 (and every corresponding row) a forwardbackward knot, but in this case only one knot was made a single backwards knot to keep the knots simple the second layerr is that in the middle of each diagagonal stripe the underlying colour crosses diagonally, like a braid. the colour that would normally be under the other colour is made visible by backwards knots lastly, theres the single knots int he middle of every line, that is a different colour, which is done by knotting the opposite knot than the knots of every diagonal line (so in the forward knotted parts, a backwards knot, and in the middle of the backwards knots, a single forward knot) by breaking down the patterns this way i can remember the knots wihtout actually remembering them specifically |

this is similar to segment knotting, but I dont always segment knot so I also look at the entire pattern

I don’t memorize them usually I can remember some parts of the patterns but that’s it but I’m sure if you make a pattern over and over your brain just makes it work like with a chevron or braided

1. I memorize patterns by repeating the patter till I understand what I'm supposed to do. Then i just try to remember the patter, i'll have the patter with me just in case!2. When you "level up" i don't think you get many new things at a time, but you time you will get more perks! |
