I'm making a bracelet for an adult male that is 19 strings wide but I'm not sure how many knots to go long? There is a pattern so I want to make sure I get the pattern centered so I will need to gage the length before I start. Any suggestions? I see so many different lengths in patterns.

It's an alpha.

I would consider making the length of the bracelet about 9-10 inches. I know for a female adult the length is about 7 inches, so I would just kind of make an educated guess and go from there.

I usually make my bracelets for orders about 5.5 to 6 inches long. Though, that is just my preference. You could also ask them to measure their wrist, in order to find an appropriate length.

Thanks so much for the info! Since I don't have any bracelets made I can't measure. Can anyone tell me how many rows long to get a bracelet about 7 inches?

You could look up the average length of a male's wrist. I'd just measure it if I were you, if you can.

Once you start knotting, measure a few complete rows of knots, then you can do some math to figure out how many rows you need to knot to get 7inches or whatever length

You could maybe do some practice rows on some other bracelet to get a feel for how many rows are needed?
