when you’ve finished the pattern and just have the base strings, what is the prettiest most aesthetically pleasing way to tie them off

Leave some string and cut the rest off, make tassels or completely cut off the rest of the base strings and apply glue or nail clear coat to the end.

It depends on what you like. I personally tie the ends in multiple small braids en then cut them off

I usually finish off with triangle ends and twisted ties 😊

Sorry!! I thought you meant bracelets. For wall hangings I leave little tassels at the bottom

I think one triangle end with a tassel or loads of little tassels but no triangle ends

I would do one triangle end and tassels.

For something that big, probably just like knots like tassels. Like what a lot of people do for keychains

You can leave some extra base string from the end and use it as a little fray or something on the end.
