I just do from extended fingertips to my nose. I hole the string in my hand and stretch my arm as far as it goes in front of me and cut it off when te string touches my nose

Yeah for smaller bracelets (that won't use as much string) i stretch the string from my left hand to my right hand and hold out my arms as far as I can in either side. Then I either cut or fold that string in half and that's the length i use

U should use measuing tape so it would be easier
