How long do I cut my strings?

Hi! Ever since I started out with making friendship bracelets, I have had a lot of issues with the length to cut my strings. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos, and everyone I have watched has had a different length that they cut their strings. Any of you have lengths that you prefer, or that are perfect for about a five and a half to a six-inch bracelet?

For a rough estimate I do a wingspan and a half and that gets folded in half, but Megan Morris on YouTube has a video where she goes in depth and gives you a formula to find the perfect string length!

depends how many strings you have. the more strings, the wider it will be and if it is a difficult pattern and there are lots of knots and its pretty wide I really have no idea but always overestimate hope this helped 😘
