So I’m trying to create my own pattern but I don’t know where to post it. If I could have some tips on creating the pattern and some help posting it that would be great

Hello! You can only create a pattern on the website. To do so, hover over your username and click on “create a pattern”. Choose whether you would like to create an alpha or a normal pattern. Once you’ve created it, write down keywords, click on the tick box and submit. It will take 2-3 days for a mod to accept/decline the pattern. Hope this helps!! 😊

I can choose alpha / normal pattern. Then I can't continue. He still shows me pattern # 1, black and red. I don't know what to put on the knots if I did pattern # 2, for example. And with review nots I don't know what to do.

@Kaily you change colors by clicking on the color hexes at the top and you add colors by click the blank space next to the colors it already gives you. then you put in your string order. each color is associated with a letter of the alphabet (first color is A, second color is B, etc.). then you type in the knots. you type in either f, b, fb or bf. to make #2 you’d do f,f,b,b for the first row and f,f,b for the second. also keep in mind that assuming you have an even number of strings, you type in half the amount of knots as there are strings for all odd rows, for all even rows, it is half minus 1. which is why say for #2 since there are 8 strings, you have 4 knots in the first row and 3 knots in the second row. hope that helps! 🙂

OK. When I fill in all the fields, I have a check mark. What should I put there? And it still shows me pattern no. 1 below. That's fine ? And the number of threads sounds like?

@Kaily be sure to click “save and test” so that it will actually show you your pattern and not #1. i recommend clicking that option regularly so that you can see what you have already created and so that you can save your pattern if you want to continue it later. as for the checkmark, you have to click that in order for you to submit your pattern. you also have to type in at least 4 keywords, like for example, chevron or diamond. 🙂

wrote me that I could not use black in the pattern. How should I avoid it and why did it happen?

@Kaily the darkest color they accept is 333333. that is because it is hard to see on the pattern grid. also if you want to tag someone be sure to put @ before their username, so just for future reference if you wanted to tag me, put @arf820. that is so i get a notification if you ask me a question.
