Basically you have to twist either side one way (so I like to twist them both to the left separately) and then twist them together the opposite way

yeah masha knots has a good video on it. but i as well like to split them up and twist them both to the left then twist them together towards the right.

Have you seen the hair twisting thing that’s pink at dollarama? I had the same issues until today when I used it to twist my ends and I had no problem

I use a clipboard, and I keep a binder clip on the edge of it. If I need to put down one side of the tie for some reason, I carefully slip the end under the clip to hold it while I do whatever I need to. But, the more you make twisted ties, the easier it gets - just keep trying!

Yes! I had the same problem when I first started out making bracelets. A trick I found is to twist both the same way, and make sure to twist the left side over, and around the right first, after you twist them. It may take a couple tries first, but once you get it, it's super easy! Good luck!

If you are having trouble making the ties for the beginning, then you should just start making your bracelets leaving enough string to use for ties. Then when you finish the bracelet, you could go back and do the ties.
