So I was making a wall hanging, I didn't realize that it was extremely small. Its the size of a keychain so I want to make it into a keychain, the only problem is idk how to connect it to a keychain and I don't. have a ring! is there a way I could put a string through the holes at the top and tie it! I wanna do that but idk how u would attach it! can someone please help!

Wait what is it tied onto right now? Normally you would tie your base strings to a key ring and start from there but I’m kind of confused on what is happening for you right now.

Is it already tied onto the dowel? If it is, I wouldn’t suggest taking it off just Incase it gets ruined.

How about you seal the top few rows with glue or clear nail polish, then glue it to the keyring. For attaching the alpha to the keyring tho, you need super glue or hot glue. Make sure to seal both sides of the rows, and then you should be good!

@Hk14 its attached to a dowel and I want to make it into a keychain but I don't have a keychain. Is there a way I could make a keychain with string?

what if you take the loops from the top of the alpha and then fold them over the keyring and stitch them to the back of the pattern if that makes sense? i can try to elaborate more if it doesnt haha

oh i see what you mean, maybe just put string there instead and then tie it on what you want to put it on? idk how sturdy that would be though

Hello, I have encountered this problem before so you're not alone, don't worry!For me, I slowly slid the dowel out while inserting the end of a white paracord. For my work which was about an inch and a half wide, I used about three and a half inches of paracord. It's a bit stiffer so it keeps its shape. Afterwards, I reinserted a thinner dowel (like a chopstick) to just keep the top straight. I'm sorry I can't provide a pic now cos I have no idea where it is :/ The dowel should barely be visible 🙂 hope this helps! |

maybe try making a macrame alpha loop, then take a sewing needle and weaving it in the top? I don't really have any ideas sry
