I like to go to craft stores and get embroidery floss in bulk there. That way you know what you are getting for sure and if you need a certain color they normally have floss in individuals!

I’m Australian, so all of the places being recommended aren’t here! I’ve looked at Amazon too and the cost for shipping is like double the cost of the actual threads 😭 Any Australians have any recommendations for places to buy embroidery threads!?

Hmmm, I would say maybe looking around a local craft store where you live! There would probably be thread that is very similar!

I use a string brand called 'loops and threads' from Micheals, I think they advertise it as something for cross stitching lol

Nobody mentions this but I get some of my string from dollarama and it’s very good quality in my opinion and it’s only 3 or 4 dollars.

If your looking for actual material I'd say cotton is way better because it makes softer bracelets (personal experience). I bought some super cheap embroidery floss off of amazon and it was a polyester/cotton mix and it produced really stiff bracelets; I also got some cotton embroidery floss from Walmart (J&P Coats) and it produced softer bracelets. In addition, I find J&P Coats easier to work with compared to DMC.Hope this helps! |

i love love love dmc. there are so many color options, it doesn't tear, and it's not too expensive (40-55 cents / skein)

I like to use embroidery floss. You can get packs of around 30 colors at craft stores like Michaels for 10-20 dollars. Or they are like 40 cents a for one thing of it and there are TONS of colors. hope this helped 😘
