I’m sorta new at making the patterns with mainly forward backwards knots and pairs, I believe they are called 1-2 patterns. My bracelets made from those kinds of pattern tend to have lots of little wholes and gaps in them, no matter how tight i tie the knots. Any advice?

Make sure the first part of the knot is tight

Actually idk why this happens, but i think it depends on how much you tight it, cause I’ve made bracelet from this type (1-2) and it were fine. I think you must tight it well .

I know you might not like this answer( 😂), but it's really just practice. I got better and better as I made more 1212 patterns. I hope this helps ❤️

Hi! I have struggled with many of these patterns before, and I would suggest watching a video on the "straight edges technique". I believe that Masha Knots, a bracelet youtuber, has a tutorial on it. I am pretty sure this should fix the problem, and if it doesn't I am sorry. I am pretty sure this should work! I know there are also youtube videos on how to fix up these types of bracelets and tricks on how to make them look better 🙂 Hope this helps!

Make sure that you tie the first half of the knot tightly, not just the second half. The straight edges technique won’t help with this issue

Try segment knotting!! I think that may help you connect your bracelet better 😊 I don’t exactly know the best way to describe it, if you don’t know what it is, but I’m sure there are some great YouTube videos that can do a great job. Hope this helps!
