Probably another stupid question but if doing triangle ends on alpha bracelets do you start counting the rows from the start of the triangle or the base of the triangle?

if you have an even number of strings, like lets say eight you would knot three strings separately then the two middle strings together then the last three stings separately. if you have an odd number of strings, like 9 then you would knot three strings separately then knot the three middle strings together then the last three strings separately. you add a string to the middle each time after you knot a row. so after you knot the three strings on each side you knot two strings on each side and knot together 4 strings in the middle if you have an even number or 5 strings in the middle if you have an odd number.

If you are counting ros to start a pattern it really dpeends on the pattern you use. For a pattern such as #31213 or #23115 they have a pattern in the middle and the sides of it have a single color. If you do these like @Racoon does with the background color in the triangle ends you can count it to calculate how long you want your bracelet. If you use apattern that doesn't have a pattern only in the middle, it doesn't really matter if you count it or not. I hope that answers your question and if not, please feel free to message me. @EBPacker2 Thank you that answers my question. The pattern doesn’t start until further down so basically it doesn’t really matter whether I count the rows or not it just affects the length?
