I have found that I had holes when I was knotting too tight and too quick. Pay attention to where the first half of the knot is; it should be nestled between the two knots above it and knot tension on that half should be tight. The second half of the knot should just be used to hold the first half in place. I like to make sure that my first half is still in the correct place before closing the second half. Masha Knots has a great tutorial on her YouTube channel that explains proper knotting as well that I found extremely helpful.

Sometimes it can be confusing to some people whensomeone says totie knots tighter, but the problems depend on the tightness of the first and second parts of your knot. When a knot is made you make one and then another knot to make the full knot. To make the holes in your bracelet go away tighten the first part of your knot, so that the knot before the one you are knotting is right nex tot the one you are doing. Then, to secure the knot make sure that are tying the second part of your knot, the tightness of the first knot stays the same. I hope that helps and wasn't too confusing.
