If you are doing ties then cut it about 1m and 20cm and if you are doing a loop cut your strings 2m

I usually measure from the fingertips of my right hand all the way to my left shoulder and that should be enough for the whole bracelet and ties. If you're making a loop make sure to double that length and fold it over (: I like this method a lot because I don't have to take out a ruler and measure lol

How I usually do it is I take the end of the string in one hand and stretch the string in my other hand to get my wing span. My wing span is usually how long my string should be, maybe a little longer. If you don't want to do that you can always measure a meter long, if you're going to fold it in half do two meters. Hope this helps. 😊 😉

If I’m doing a loop, I usually do twice the length from my fingertips to my shoulder, plus 20-30cm for the ties. And I make the string that I’m going to be doing the loop with around 10-15cm longer than the rest of the strings

I usually do an arms length and then some extra for the ties. Though if it’s a string that I know will feature heavily in the pattern, I cut the that longer. For alphas, I usually just roll up the whole skein unless it’s only for a couple of knots. Hope this helps!
