This sounds super weird but.... Does anyone else get like red marks on their fingers when making bracelets almost like a rope burn?? I get them when I work on them, and it's quite annoying. Does anyone have this issue also? And know how to fix it?

Oh my gosh, I get that too. Not really sure how to avoid it completely without changing my rhythm, other than covering my fingers - which I do not want to do.

Covering them sounds like it'd be harder! I feel like it would get in the way and mess me up more! But I'm happy I'm not the only one!! Haha(:

I used to get those, but it doesn't really happen anymore, but just make sure you keep your hands moisturized, I find I run into more of the sores and 'burns' when my hands are drier.

It happens to me too! It's annoying because I can't work on bracelets for extended amounts of time, which limits how many I can make.

i usually wrap a layer of micropore tape around the fingers that get sore 🙂

Maybe put band aids on your fingers beforehand?

it's a type of really flexible tape specially made for sticking onto skin. my mam gets it from the hospital she works at but you can get it at most chemists

That happens to me WHENEVER I work on alphas for too long! It is so annoying!!! Once they even started bleeding because it was for a friends birthday and I HAD to get it done. I ended up just putting ice on it until it stopped swelling and bleeding, then kept going. It hurt so much!! also, as a few other people have said, make sure your skin is moisturized. Shea Butter works really well for that!! 🙂

The side of my fingers have gotten a bit rough because I knot so much. The used to hurt after a while but I guess I'm immune now 😄

It'd be nice to get calluses. So it doesn't hurt anymore, and be able to do more... That's a lot of knotting to do though....
