I am having so much trouble trying to follow the normal pattern instructions. I see all the knots and arrows but it is so hard to figure out what to do! There has to be a trick to following them because I just can't figure it out. Help is highly appriciated!!

I personally like to split each knot - or arrow - into two knots. And then endlessly repeat "over under over, over under over" for each arrow, then "over under over, under over under" for the crooked arrows. It might sound weird, but just look at the knot pics for a bit and slowly work it out. I hope I helped a little

If you look under the pattern there's instructions showing which arrows mean what knots and how to tie them. then work left to right, and then right to left going down a line each time. Take your time, things can get even more frustrating if you start messing things up.

Wait.... You're suppose to go left right, then right left??? Really?

you don't have to but I find it's easier to follow and keep your strings from getting tangled if you do, because you've already set some of the strings to the side after you tie them. You can definitely work just left to right or just right to left, but you're moving your strings more, making it more likely they will get tangled up. It's just something I suggest for people who are having some difficulties making bracelets or beginning.
