hi!! i have two questions surprise surprise one: is there a way to make a solid color teardrop loop? for example, the bottom part of the loop usually shows each color. could i do a forward backward knot with my loop color and then exclude my first color from the bunch and then knot again? idk how to explain lol two: i got to around row 30 on a bracelet but unfortunately the string snapped (i do not recommend targets embroidery thread) can i still upload a photo even if it’s not finished? thx |

For question number one yes. I know the instagram account Empatheo has a youtube video on it, but to sum it up it is pretty easy. Instead of doing fb and bf knots with all the strings, you do it with the string that is last in order, and after every knot you take out one string. You get the same result, but the only problem is that the color thatt you use will have to be last because it is needed for every knot. For question two yes. The way that photos are accpeted is that most of the bracelet is finished. If you can tell from the photo that the bracelet is mostly complete and looks like it is complete. If you do want to replace that string though, you can use either the normal alpha or flat apha technique to insert the new thread. You do it the same way you would in an alpha, but it is just in a normal bracelet. I hope that helps and if you need clarification or more help please feel free to contact me. 😊 |

both answers are a yes! pattern and craft has a great tutorial on youtube on how to do a single colored teardrop loop. she even has a tutorial on how to do single colored triangle ends if you are interested. for your second question, yes people do post pictures of unfinished bracelets on here as “progress photos.” in your instance though, you can easily finish your bracelet by inserting another string. to do that, tape a new string of the same color to your workspace. put what’s left of the snapped string still connected to the bracelet behind the bracelet. with your new string gently knot it in when there is a knot of that color. once you have made a few more rows, it should be secure enough so then you can cut off the two tails of string in the back. i sometimes like to make a square knot with the two tails to make sure it is secure. hope that helps! 🙂
