is it possible to do the straight edge technique on the edge of a bracelet with a color switch ?

Yes, it is. You do the first fb or bf knot in the colour of the first knot and the second in the colour of the second knot. People often forget that you need to make two fb or bf because you are replacing two knots with them. If you only do one fb or bf knot your bracelet will curve.
