Anklets! Help!

I usually stick to making bracelets so I know how much string to use, but whenever I try to make anklets I almost always run out of string! Does anybody know how long to cut strings to make an anklet and not run out of thread? I'm not planning on making a loop by the way. Some advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well for bracelets I usually make each string a little more than 3 feet or 1 meter. I think I would make my string maybe 4.5 feet, idk in meters though.

If you usually do wingspan length for bracelets then I would do 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 wingspan length for anklets.

@Basilology I usually hold it in my right hand and stretch it to my left shoulder, and cut it off around there if I'm not doing a loop. I've never used a ruler or anything like that to make it exact.

Maybe you could try a full wingspan.

I usually just do my wingspan, it gives me a bit more than I need, but it’s nice because it gives you extra space if you need it :3

Cut a long piece of string and make sure you making your anklets adjustable

For anklets I do two wingspan length of thread x

i made a chevron anklet that fit perfectly all i did was just cut the strings about 6 inches longer

im not really sure how long exactly, but if you do run out of thread on a color, I usually replace the thread in a similar way as you would on an alpha changing colors if that makes sense. Ill just cut a new string and use that in the next knot of that color. It may look a little funny at first but once you do the next row it shouldn't be noticeable
