Can you add more string in to a normal pattern?

Hi! I accidentally cut one of my colors too short and was wondering if you can add in more string like you would for an alpha pattern, but on a normal one. If it helps I’m working on pattern #24441

I like to tape in a second segment of string behind my bracelet and then knot it in. @innovate (alex's innovations) has a tutorial called fixing broken strings. It covers multiple ways to fix these problems. 🙂
