when making big alpha / keychain /wallhanging what do you attach the end too?

I know you could attach a small one to a keyring hoop , but where could you attach a bigger one ? i have seen some pics where it looks like people attach the end ? start of pattern to a knitting needle or similar ? thank you in advance for any suggestions 😄

Dowel rods (I think that’s how you spell it) you can get them at craft stores or hardware stores they come in long rods that you can cut with scissors

Wall hangings usually start on like some pencils, wooden dowel rods, or other circular things...and a larks head knot to attach your strings to the wooden things

You could also use disposable bamboo skewers or something of the sort 🙂
