how long should i make my strings

i feel like i’ve been making my strings too long, and i’ve been running out of string very quickly. is there a good recommended length?

I think most people do from their fingertips to their chest, plus extra for ties. I don’t wear my bracelets so it doesn’t really matter to me if they’re a little too short, so I usually just do from my fingertips to my shoulder, plus around 25cm for the combined length of the ties

1 meter for bracelets for without loops, 2 meters for bracelets with loops and 2 meters 6 inches for the string that makes the loop. If I have extra string left, I make rag rugs out of it. Also, you might be running out of string because some strings tie more knots than other strings.

If you make your strings to long save the string and use it in the future in alphas such as the rainbow alpha masha knots aka @raccoon made a tutorial on it as well as the rag rug she made as well as Alex's Innovations rag rug @innovate
