Hiya! I've recently started with bracelet making (simple normal patterns chevrons etc), then I found out alphas existed. And since I just finished the show la casa de papel, and I now rise and fall with the characters, I wanted to make a Dali mask key ring. I watched some of Masha's videos and I now know how to read patterns and such. However, when I looked at the pattern ( #33732 btw) I looked at the photos and I'm in love with the one that started off with a triangle end. I just don't know how to do it, because the number of base strings is odd. Masha mentioned a lodger head knot but since its the number of base strings needed are odd I'm not sure how to start. Help please? ;-;

Hey! to start an alpha and make the triangle ends with an odd number of base strings you just have to divide your strings in half, leaving a single string in between. In this case, since there are 23 base strings, you would leave 11 strings in both sides and the remaining string in the middle (11 strings, 1 string, 11 strings) and end up with a total of 23 base strings. And you simply start knotting the triangle end as you would with an even number of threads. Hope this helps! :] |

Oof I'm not sure but I think if you did a pattern and you look at the pictures it'll be a button to say "add photo" or something of the sorts. As far as level Im also not sure I might be considered a beginner for a while

@Jaylin To post a picture on the app, go to the pattern and tap the plus sign in the upper right corner. To post a picture on the website, go to the pattern and click โadd a photoโ in the upper right corner. To rank up, you basically just need to be active on the site. So that would be any combination of posting in the forums, posting pictures, creating patterns, adding variations, commenting on patterns, rating patterns, friending people, etc. Also just so you know, you need to tag someone for them to get a notification that you replied to them

Happy to help since you're here do you know a good technique or a measurement so you have enough thread for making alphas just like when making regular bracelets your fingertip to your shoulder doubled should be enough
