Yes, there is a flat alpha technique that I have learned recently and I can noticeably see the difference in the look of my bracelets. Definitely worth it!

yes! basically you just do two bf knots on the left most base string and you do two fb knots on the right most base string. no need to add two extra strings as you would with a normal pattern. 🙂
