So I am going to be helping one of my friends learn how to make bracelets tomorrow and I am super excited, however I don't know what patterns I should show/give her.If anyone has any good beginner patterns (or any good beginner tips) please share them with me!!! Thanks so much!! ❤️ -Meghan_J24 |

Im so glad that you are teaching her how to make bracelets. I personally started with a forward knot candy-strip and a backward knot candy strip and after I got comfortable doing that I started learning how to do chevron. Thats how I learned but you can honestly go about it ether way but that is how I have taught most people that have come to me and asked me how they make bracelets. I hope this helped and Im so happy your friend wants to get into bracelets. Good luck 😇

also it really is an important detail or at least or me because Im one of those people who is a perfectionist. The string that you use. I used to used some cheap Walmart thread and it would easily break and i used to literally be in tears because I put so much time and effort into the bracelet and because I tie my knots tighter then most people the sting would snap. so I now ether order from amazon like if I get metallic or sparkly string or as of right now because I cant leave the house. I order off of amazon and if you do read the reviews and videos and check photos because some brands lie about the brand or quality. but if you are able to leave hobby lobby, Joanns, or Micheals, craft stores have DMC threads and they are actually cheaper, and any packs that are there in stores with the individual slots are amazing to use. they have packs such as packs of blues, reds or warm colors. and packs of 12 blacks and 12 whites and if your like me and use alot of black and white those are really good to use. I won't give a specific pattern but I think you should choose one that is no more than ten strings and has all 4 knots in it so it is easier to practice straight away.

make sure you explain the different knots before you begin! my friends always get confused when they have to go in a different direction while they’re learning.

oh also segment knotting! if you’re teaching with patterns then make sure she knows she doesn’t have to go line by line bc that is so much more difficult

The Chinese staircase is also a good one to start with I’m not sure if it has a pattern number but you can find tutorials pretty easy online
