❤️ ❤️ ❤️ hey everyone, i started making bracelets this week and interested in selling them in order to donate the money to local organizations dealing with covid. i was wondering what the etiquette was when selling bracelets with patterns that i personally haven't created - is that allowed? do you have to credit the designer? anyways, thanks so much! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I noticed nobody answer this question yet.I have sold jewelry on Etsy, not friendship bracelets just to be clear. The problem that I see with selling friendship bracelets is that there can be a potential for copyright infringement. In simpler terms, the person who created that pattern can potentially have a case against you making money off their pattern. I am unsure if anyone would do that, since the patterns are published publicly on a bracelet making website, but it's still possible that someone can and will attempt a lawsuit. Selling bracelets to help a charitable cause is great, but I wouldn't sell it on Etsy. Instead, try selling them on Facebook or Instagram and using PayPal, Venmo, etc for exchange of funds. Maybe someone else, can have a better answer here.. but, I would ask the question are the patterns on this website mean they are free to use for selling? |

(@rayedesol) i think they are free to use for selling! it is always good to credit the pattern creator or at least message the creator to make sure it is ok with them. there are a lot of people who sell their friendship bracelets on etsy so i would recommend to go to their etsy shops and see how they credit pattern creators! 🙂
