I have started an alpha it is the one with the pink background and light green cacti. Is that a good first alpha pattern?

A good first alpha pattern should probably only have a few colors and not to many base strings. Probably no more than 15.

if u go to masha knots youtube channel she has this cool rainbow alpha bracelet where u can use scrap thread. i'm pretty sure she said she wouldn't recommend it for beginners but in my opinion it would be a good start. hope this helps!!

@Racoon (Masha Knots) has some really good tutorials for bracelets, and some good alphas I think would be the rainbow alpha or the wave alpha. She has tutorials for both of them 🙂

I recommend something with only two colors. Make the background color the lead string and the color of what design is the base strings.

I think pattern #21041 is a good beginner alpha -- I did my first alpha with three colors and I still managed to make it pretty well, but at the same time, I was an experienced normal bracelet maker beforehand. If you're particularly new at alphas, I'd recommend the vertical wave, which MashaKnots has a good tutorial on. Otherwise, the pattern you've started looks good 🙂
