Hi, I am going to be doing pattern #41288, I’m a bit confused between normal and alpha patterns, this is normal is that right? Also, do I do backward/forward & forward backward knots on the ends of each row to keep the sides straight. Sorry, I made a few bracelets a few years ago but have totally forgotten everything so am starting from scratch as a complete beginner. Just thought , another question, can I curve the ends rather than do a triangle?

@lilackat yes it is a normal pattern, and I think you can do the backward forward or forward backward knots on the sides (not too sure about those because I don't really do them on normal patterns). Also what do you mean by curving the end?

you could definitely use bf/fb knots at the ends if you want but i recommend looking into the straight edges technique. i'm not the best at explaining it but you can find tutorials if you're interested in putting a little bit more effort to make the edges look really clean, though it is not required. not entirely sure what you mean by curved ends though, sorry. best of luck!
