What is a good way to measure the string for bracelets so you don’t run out at the end and get the same size bracelet every time?

I normally do the length of 1 arm to shoulder and it comes up a little short so I would advice going over both shoulders and 1 arm if you aren't folding it. If the bracelet has a large amount of one colour then I make those a little longer. I hope this helps!? 😊

This is not an exact science, everyone has their own technique. Personally I bounce between having too much and too little string. I would say stay on the side of having too much string and save the scraps to make ragrug bracelets. Generally, look at the pattern, if there is a specific string being used more than the others it will need to be longer. Usually, half of your wingspan is a safe bet, but it matters on your wrist size and the pattern. Also, the thicker the bracelet, the longer the string, but that has a fairly minimal effect in my experience. If you are doing a simple and thinner bracelet like 14 strings or under you can probably get away with your shoulder or collarbone to fingertip. I hope this helped and good luck!

I like to think that if there aren't many strings in the pattern, you dont have to cut them as long. but in my personal experience it is always an experiment. sometimes I cut them too long and sometimes too short. hope this helps!
