You can, that's what I do, but be cautious! If you are a loose alpha maker, that might go south. The string can unknot, like just a little. This happened on my first alpha. You also don't want to do that if you only used the color for 1 or 2 knots. I make a simple double knot and make it as tight and close to the back as possible if that's the case. Otherwise, yeah go for it @squidtke!

ive never had the strings ends poke through and as long as your not cutting it at the end if the row it should be fine if the back is quite messy then i will hotglue a strip of felt to the back
