I think that any alpha pattern with 2-3 colors and 12 base strings or less is a good one to start with

I recommend choosing an alpha that has the least amount of colors if you’re just starting because you won’t have to do as many color switches☺️

One of the first alpha patterns I did was #21182 because it only has two colors so it is a good choice for a first alpha. Plus the cacti are really cute.

#26397 is a good one because it only uses three colors and there’s large blocks of color so you get to practice making the actual knots without having to switch colors constantly!

The cherries pattern #25002 was my first alpha and it was great to learn with! one base color and 2 other colors, and easy to follow!☺️

My first alpha was #6053 and it was for father's day but some other ones I would recommend would be #17924 as it is simple, #17894, #17694, #17341, any of the simple Disney princess ones by Celtika (#17064, #17063, #17062) because they are simple but will also get you used to switching colors.
