A month ago I had added a photo for a challenge and it got accepted, but 1. they didn't give me a point until after I had messaged them (I don't know if that has anything to do with it) and 2. they weren't a moderator they were a bracelet king. Are bracelet kings allowed to accept photos and patterns?

Only moderators or admin can accept photos and give rewards. Maybe one of the former moderators who aren't moderators anymore accepted your photo.
