what helped me was following pattern tutorials on youtube by masha knots, alex’s innovations, and kinsey b because they teach you how to make a specific pattern with segment knotting. because they go through the pattern step by step, you’ll get a feel for how segment knotting works so that you can figure it out on any normal pattern. hope that helps! 🙂
