So I got the hang of a few rows, but I got to row 7 of pattern #20976 and I'm completely lost on the second set of strings. Is it saying to make a knot with the string by itself?

Or are you adding the same color into the string like an alpha I'm so confused.

In that row for the 2 knot you would knot the brown string on the pink string (or whatever color it actually is)

In this part you would alternate knots in between the the two strings down the chain till it reconnects at the Diamond, message me if u need a further explanation 🙂

so basically you knot that part like a chainlink bracelet. starting from row 3, you alternate knots between black and white until row 17 so it will appear as a line of white, black, white black. starting from row 5 you do the same with the dark red and the lighter red until row 5. with the middle part starting on row 7 it is different because it’s between two white strings and two black strings but you basically follow the pattern as it says. you alternate between a white chevron and a black chevron until row 14. so there would literally be five disconnected lines. but then the diamond starting at row 14 brings all the strings back together. i hope that helps! 🙂
