thats great i love alphas im strange i cant really do normal patterns i much prefer alphas 🙂 so i would start of with your lead string (the one you knot with) and your base strings (the ones you knot onto) being a diffrent colour, even if it doesnt look great it will be aiser to get the hang of just knoting. also dont start of to complicated my first braclet was just one colour no patttern or anything just so i could get the hang of it.
one of my best ones is that dont cut your lead string instead of just using a really long string or having to keep on replacing the string just wind the string onto a bobbin and use this as your lead string.
good luck
ps. (sorry if this dindt make much sense if you have any questions feel free to message me ) 😊

does anyone know which size crochet thread aligns with the size of regular embroidery thread used for making bracelets? I am looking to but larger quantities but do not want to get thread that is too thick or thin 😐

@Sugar_Geek What I do is .... I make a regular colour switch/addition and at the back of the bracelet, I tie its tail to the tail of another string tightly and snip the excess off. To make it extra secure just brush a little bit of mod podge on the back side of your bracelet , wherever needed. I hope it helps

I recommend doing the straight edges method which is just doing forward back ward and backward forward knots on the edges
