i struggling on the flat technique on the alpha because when i try doing the backward forward knot or the forward backward knot on the edge should i do the knot twice or once?

Try tucking the string under or watch Masha knots tutorial it really helped me

After you do the first half of the knot when switching colors and then put the other leading string through, tie the second half of that knot not tight but not too tight. Idk i hope that makes sence

You should do it twice, because you start new row of knots. First backward-forward/forward-backward knot on the edge is the end of your row, the second one is the beggining of your row. I hope that makes sense! ❤️

If you do the flat alpha technique and have a colour switch right at the edge do the regular colour switch there. MashaKnots also explains that in her video on the flat alpha technique.The bf and fb knots on the edge are for the straight edges technique. You always need to make two bf or fb knots right after each other because one knot replaces the last knot of the first row and one replaces the first knot of the next row. |

The Masha Knots video on flat alphas is great! It helps so much with color changes. Really any on Masha Knots’ videos help.
