Hi! I started making a few alphas but my string goes diagonal and I dont know what I am doing wrong.For example, some of the yellow parts in this next picture are in diagonal https://imgur.com/a/UZXypy9 |

I don't do alphas but I have had patterns that are supposed to be forming straight lines end up going diagonal. I found that I was knotting tighter on one side than the other and eventually it was enough to shift the rows and the entire pattern. This might not be what is happening bur its worth a thought. that is normal for alphas. because of the knot structure of alphas, the knots tend to be sort of diagonal rather than completely round.
