Sorry if this has been asked before. But if I'm making an alpha as a flat bookmark what do I do with left over base strings? If I cut them too short will the bracelet unravel? Thanks 😊 |

no the bracelet shouldn’t unravel! just don’t cut the base strings too short. another suggestion could be to group up your base strings and tie an overhand knot at the end of each group. or you can do short braided or twisted ties. if you’re worried about the bracelet unraveling i would suggest doing overhand knots or short braided or twisted ties. hope that helps! 🙂

If you do cut too short, use clear nail polish at the end, it will help keep the strings from fraying and/or unraveling

I usually make a really small braid at the ends.

I cut the string so there is about two centimeters left, then just in case they unravel I put a nail polish top coat around the strings to hold it in place.
