Does anyone know how to do a triangle end on an alpha if so can you explain? I don’t have anyway to watch a video or look it up so would you be willing to share how to?

it may be a little unclear of an explanation, but I will try my best. basically, divide your base strings in half and make a knot onto each half (making your first row). then, from each half, bring a base string into the middle. this will make your second row, with the two bundles on the sides and 2 individual base strings in the middle. just continue doing this, bringing a base string in from each side and making a row. eventually, all of your base strings will be brought in, and you can actually start the pattern. I hope this helps, I tried to give the best explanation I could without visuals. obviously youtube tutorials would give you a better visual explanation, so I would recommend watching some if my explanation doesnt make sense.

I can try! I like to think of it as a pyramid. You start with a forward knot on the whole bundle of strings, then you take one out on each side and do the backward knot onto the single string, the remaining bundle, and the other single string. Then you would continue to take out on string on each side of the bundle until you are knotting on each string

For the other side it’s the opposite, where you would slowly put them into a bundle

@CoolKnot do you do the knots with the background string?

You use whatever colour you want for your background onto the base strings... so I think yes

Ok to do triangle ends first count your base strings ,if your base strings are a even number then separate them into two if not then separate them into two and have the extra one in the middle .
Now grab your working strand and knot over the first group then the second when you have odd number of thread knot over the solo strand in the middle as well .next remove one string from each group and knot the group and the strand separately now continue until you knot all string solo .
For the end of the triangle you do it opposite you first knot all of them solo and then group them .
For a clearer explanation watch Masha knots video !
