Okay, so I've like... mastered two color alphas. I understand everything about them, and I can make them without any problems... But many times I've attempted 3+ clor alphas, and can never get it right. I think most of my problem is I don't know what string to put where... And how many of them... So I've tried the tutorials on here, tried YouTube, but still, I feel like (ESPECIALLY YouTube 😐) It tells me WHAT to do instead of WHY or HOW... I know in the beginning you start out with your "working string" and one color backstrings... Like, the rest are backstrings. I know how to get that number. But WHAT color? And once add the other colors, wouldn't there be extra? Like, if it's a 10x10 alpha (I'm making this up...) and I add a green string, wouldn't there be an extrs string? So instead of 10 It'd be 11? hello there 🙂 for multicolor alphas, you have to choose your 2 main colors. So you tie your bracelet normally as with the two colored alpha, and when you come to the third color you tie in a string with a normal knot, once you finish with that string just put it aside and continue with your two main colors. and then when you need it again just make a knot and put it aside again 🙂 same with 4th and 5th color 🙂 and so on 🙂 Hope i helped!! |

@quartzx2 I would start with something under 3 colors and maybe a keychain, only because color.switching can be difficult when having a ton of strings. Here are a few patterns that I suggest that I think I would really help: #16149 for halloween. #8051 and #286 for fun. If you have made at least one alpha or are familiar with color.switching (if not, MashaKnots has an amazing video teaching it) you can go for an easy bracelet like #38672. I hope this helps 👍
