I’m doing a starburst and trying to stay consistent but I’m lefty and forward knots are really bubbly and longaded and my backward knots are tight

The key to a consistent tightness is to make sure the first half of your knot has the desired tightness before making the second half.

My knots are still uneven and I try to get both of them crooked.

Pay really close attention to your knots after you tie them. If you tie a knot and it doesn’t look right, untie it using a safety pin and tie it again. Mistakes rarely get fixed by just continuing on with the pattern. And make sure that you pull the string up and to the right for a forward knot, and up and to the left for a backward knot. Also just so you know you have to tag someone for them to see your response unless they’re the person who started the topic (that’s why I’m not tagging you)

also make sure you're not pulling the string you're knotting on or the whole bracelet to the side while knotting. always make sure to pull it straight down.make sure the first half of your knot is as close to the previous knots as possible. when doing the second half of the knot pay attention that the first half doesn't loosen again. |
