Hey I am a newbie at bracelet tying, could I have a few thread type and brand reccommendations, as well as what colours I could start with? I would like a very easy and basic starter kit to begin 🙂 Thanks!

You could get a pack of loops and threads! They are cheap and have a lot of basic colors. They also have craft cord and embroidery floss

I use DMC for very specific colors cause I can just buy them at the craft stores near me, but for buying in bulk I buy Fuyit from Amazon, it’s great quality for the price + it comes with embroidery stuff!

Quick tip. Do not ever buy cheap brands because when you go to get more string but of a different brand it messes up the edges. So use DMC, it’s cheap (.56¢ each) and really high quality! ✨🌸

DMC and Loops and Threads are both available pretty much any where you shop (walmart, micheals...etc) they aren’t super expensive and the quality is great.

I like DMC and Loops & Threads. DMC is softer, but for me it’s actually a little harder to work with because the knots can loosen a little after you tie them. But because Loops & Threads is less soft, there’s more friction and the knots stay in place more. But DMC is definitely still good. I’ve never used the brand Prism, but I’ve heard good things about them and they’re pretty cheap if I remember correctly

about loops and threads and am planning on getting some. personally i’m not a huge fan of dmc because it tends to fray a lot for me but it is a lot softer than j & p

Hey everyone! Does anyone have brand suggestions for craft thread? I can find them on Amazon & Michael’s websites but I can’t seem to find a pack of white anywhere! I just prefer craft thread over embroidery floss. Tysm !

I almost always use dmc thread and that works great for me I also use J & P coats which I think is a good quality thread for a low price. I have also just recently started to use prism embroidery thread and I absolutely love it I got it in a pack of 105 skeins which includes bobbins! and I got it for about $12 which I think is a pretty good price but yeah these are all amazing threads but I would definitely say use whatever you're comfortable with hope this helps 😊Prism thread on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Prism-6-Strand-Floss-Assorted-Colors/dp/B00115PN6E |
