Hey I have never made an alpha bracelet but I have made plenty of normal bracelets. So someone helped me learn the basics but I am still confused about a few things. So when you start is the string that is making all of the color attached to the bracelet? Then when all of the colors come in where are they and are they attached to the bracelet? Or can some please give me a very thorough description on how to make alphas?

And also for alphas do you read a pattern the same as a normal bracelet?

I know a few of these besides the description: you have base strings (won’t be seen) and you take a totally separate string to knot onto those. When the colors come in there is some special way to tie them in, idk how. And they are read the same as far as I’m sure

@giraffe34 if you want to make your alpha flat then yes there is a special way to tie the colored strings in. I’m not really sure a good way to explain this without a visual, but Masha Knots has a great video on it (I think it’s called flat alpha bracelets - beginner tutorial)
